Kids Club “Rockin’ Sockin’ Summer Camp”
The summer fun begins right away in an elementary school aged camp designed to keep your child learning and engaged. Each week “rockin’ sockin’ “ jam-packed themes include field trips, special guests, crafts, games and enrichment activities that will grab your child’s attention and fill the days with excitement , friendship and fun. After all, isn’t that what summer is for?
Kid’s Club Summer Camp locations are licensed by DCF (Department of Children and Families) and nationally accredited. They offer a welcoming, lively, safe, positive, and diverse environment where children gain confidence and build self-esteem while enjoying a fun-filled summer. Our summer camp program exposes campers to a variety of challenging and exciting activities. The strength of our camp stems from our small group sizes, educational components, variety of activities, and an experienced year-round staff dedicated to enriching children’s lives.

Eligibility: Children must have completed kindergarten and turned age 5 by September 1, 2012. Children must have attended Elementary school during the 2012/2013 school year.
The Youth in Action Camp is administered by Harmony Development Center. This Academically focused camp is designed to keep kids on track during the summer. Participants will surely be ready to get back to school effortlessly. Fun recreational activities will be provided including dance, karate, swimming lessons and fun filled field trips.

Eligibility: Free to middle school age children. Priority given to children who are currently enrolled in the Youth in Action afterschool program.
The Children’s Service’s Council (CSC) M.O.S.T. summer program provides a safe and positive environment; for youth that enhances academic achievement, supports social and physical development and strengthens youth relationships with adults and peers within the context of their families, schools and communities, thereby strengthening youth protective factors and reducing risk factors. The program incorporates best practices and uses research-based curricula.
Program components include: academic enrichment activities; physical fitness activities; nutrition education and healthy snacks; social skills building to promote positive self-esteem, pro-social peer associations, and good citizenship. An array of high quality activities exposes children to art and culture, music, social studies and science. Community Service learning activities help children feel a stronger connection to their communities.
The following set of standards is demonstrated throughout the summer program.

Program Dates: June 10th through August 9th (this program operates the 1st 9 weeks of summer break, there is no camp the week prior to school beginning)
CSC-funded programs are intended to serve economically disadvantaged children residing in Broward County Title I public schools targeted communities. Children must reside in the Broward County School Board boundaries for Miramar elementary schools.
Campers 13-16 years old will be on the go when they participate in this specialty camp designed with tweens to teens in mind. Each camp day includes an educational and fun field trip as well as special classroom activities. Campers will meet on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays only. Campers must bring a bathing suit, towel and change of clothes every day.

Calling all aspiring athletes 6-12 years of age!
Sports & Fundamentals Camp is designed to introduce campers to a variety of sports to help develop individual skills and techniques.
A different sport will be featured each week where campers will learn the history and basic fundamentals of the sport through drills, games, and tournament play. Guest speakers and education will also be a component of this exciting camp.
Campers will also have the option to attend weekly field trips and swim trips.
Meals: Children must bring a packed lunch and snack.
Cost: $85 per week residents* (does not include field trips)

Presented by the Miramar Cultural Center|ArtsPark, Little Broadway camp embraces the visual and performing arts, and culminates with a visual art exhibition and theater performance. Sessions offered include – singing, acting, dancing (choreography/technique), musical theater, visual art and music instruments. Additional camp highlights include special guest master artists, lunch ‘n learn with guest speakers and field trips.

2013 Summer Tennis Camp is a great opportunity for your child to learn the game of tennis over the summer vacation.
Qualified and experienced coaches that will teach your child have more than 40 years of combined teaching and playing experience in such well known venues as the ATP Tour, the Davis Cup, ITF and the USTA.
This program will teach your child the basics of tennis; forehand, backhand, overhead, serve, volley, hand eye-coordination and footwork; as well as, strategy, sportsmanship and overall physical fitness.
Competitive training camps are also available.

This Aquatic Swim camp is a great opportunity for your children to take swim classes and to learn water safety education. Our qualified and experienced water safety instructors will teach your children the essentials to stay safe when they are in or near the water. Each day your children will participate in swimming lessons as well as various age appropriate organized aquatic and water safety activities. Various indoor games, movies and activities, including arts and crafts will be incorporated the daily curriculum to increase your child’s personal and physical development. Field trips are scheduled for Mondays and Pizza day is on Fridays.

I KNOW SCIENCE is proud to offer "IKS Explorer's Summer Camp" at the Sunset Lakes Community Center, located at 2801 S.W. 186th Avenue. IKS Explorer's Summer Camps are week-long, hands-on science summer adventures featuring science activities for children ages 5 -12. Our camps are designed to educate, enrich, and build self-esteem through science exploration and discovery. Our Explorer's are grouped by age and will engage in fun activities each day of camp. Campers will be introduced to the wonders of science and enjoy doing some incredible experiments that will WOW their imagination and spark up a lifelong love for science! They will also enjoy outdoor fun, water games, and parties!
