SUMMER CAMP 2015

Our goal is to “Give each camper the summer of their life!” A summer filled with adventure, learning, and friendship.  Summer camp can help your child develop character, learn valuable life skills, make new friends and discover new interests. Looking for a unique summer program with fun summer activities? Look no further than our summer camp programs!

Sports & Fundamentals Camp

Sports & Fundamentals Camp is designed to introduce campers to a variety of sports to help develop individual skills and techniques.  A different sport will be featured each week where campers will learn the history and basic fundamentals of the sport through drills, games, and tournament play.

Guest speakers and education will also be a component of this exciting camp.  Campers will also have the option to attend weekly field trips and swim trips.

M.O.S.T. Camp Maximizing Out-Of-School-Time Children’s Services Council Grant Funded Program

This camp is funded through the Children’s Services Council (CSC), and offers academic enrichment activities, physical fitness activities, and nutrition education. Campers, from kindergarten through 5th grade, will be provided with a nutritionally sound breakfast, lunch, and snack daily.

Eligibility:
CSC-funded programs are intended for disadvantage children residing in Broward County Title I public schools targeted communities.  Children must be residents in either Fairway Elementary to attend Fairway Park or A.C. Perry Elementary to attend Miramar Youth

Sliding fee scale:  The program utilizes the CSC’s fee scale

$12.00 for a single child or $18.00 for a family entering 2 or more children*

Tween-2-Teen Camp

Campers 13-16 years old will be on the go when they participate in this specialty camp designed with tweens to teen in mind.  This active group will be getting together every Monday through Thursday to enjoy field trips, socials, and much more.  Campers must bring a bathing suit, towel, change of clothes, water bottle, and money for snacks daily.  For more information, please call 954-602-3319.

Miramar Cultural Center | Arts Park – Little Broadway Camp

Presented by the Miramar Cultural Center|ArtsPark, Little Broadway camp embraces the visual and performing arts, and culminates with a theater performance that involves all children.  Sessions offered include singing, acting, dancing (choreography/technique), musical theater, visual art and musical instruments.  Additional camp highlights include special guest master artists, lunch ‘n learn with guest speakers and field trips.

Jump Start to Kindergarten Camp

The City of Miramar Early Childhood Program presents “Jump Start to Kindergarten”  Staffed by year-round teachers, this camp offers fun and educational program created to assist children in the transition from pre-school to kindergarten and is designed to keep children learning and engaged over the summer.

Jump Start to Kindergarten camp locations are licensed by DCF and are nationally accredited. They offer a welcoming, lively, safe, positive, and diverse environment where your child will gain confidence and build self-esteem while enjoying a fun-filled summer.

 
Program Hours:   
9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Extended Care is available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
and from12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. for an additional fee
   
Program Dates:   
June 8th through August 21st
   
Meals:
Nutritional breakfast and lunch
   
Eligibility:
Children must be entering Kindergarten in the 2015/2016 school year

Kids Club Camp

When school is out, fun is in… Join the Kids Club!  Kids Club camp is a traditional summer day camp for children who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade.  The summer will be filled with fun themed activities, field trips, special guests, crafts and games, treasure hunts and dress up days, brain teasers, puzzles and so much more!  For more information, please call 954-954-883-5230.

Summer Swim Camp

This Aquatic Swim camp is a great opportunity for your children to take swim classes and to learn water safety education. Our qualified and experienced water safety instructors will teach your children the essentials to stay safe when they are in or near the water.

Each day your children will participate in swimming lessons as well as various age appropriate organized aquatic and water safety activities. Various indoor games, movies and activities, including arts and crafts will be incorporated the daily curriculum to increase your child’s personal and physical development. Field trips are scheduled for Tuesdays

GCE Fashion Camp 2015

Campers will be introduced to the “Fashion and Commercial / Print Industry Experience”. In addition, they will learn all the techniques needed to express themselves radiantly. They will build self-esteem, gain self-confidence; learn personal development and all the self-improvement/life skills needed for a successful future.

I Know Science

Campers will participate in week-long hands on fun and exciting science activities that will educate, enrich and build self-esteem through science exploration and discovery.
