Composition of a Board: Each board is composed of appointed members who volunteer their services, along with staff liaisons. Each board has a stated purpose according to the City of Miramar government and is a link between the residents and the elected officials.Some boards have five (5) members, others have more. Each member of a board with five (5) members is elected by one of the City Commissioners. The composition of boards is dictated by the Ordinance pertaining to that board.
Becoming a Board Member: Membership to boards is dictated by the Ordinance pertaining to that board. If you fit the criteria, you can fill out the electronic Advisory Board Application. Advisory Board Applications will be kept on file for one year only. After its expiration, you will have to re-submit a new Application.
